AT&T = SBC, Southwestern Bell, Pacific Telesis, Ameritech, SNET, BellSouth and the old parent AT&T.
Verizon = Bell Atlantic and NYNEX plus the independent telephone companies GTE and MCI.

AT&T is the BabyBells, just all glued back together. AT&T is one of the targets of this investigation. |
