1 edit | If you change just one thread response notification option... when you are composing your posting, that option changes your default. It's been mentioned several times before that it shouldn't work that way, but it still does. You may have "none" selected as your default, but if you choose either IM or e-mail notification for even one posting, that choice then becomes your default. Pick "Nope" the next time you post and it should stay that way ... unless you change it back to something else. Your last selection becomes the default from that time on. It is not retroactive! Any postings that you selected some notification for will still IM or email you unless you click the stop notification link contained therein.

Click the link under the "you wish to CEASE notifications" line (to stop IMs for that thread, as opposed to your site default). |
