Hi there,
Just letting you know my friend's Teksavvy thingy is now working. It was frustrating, honestly, getting things to work, especially when she and I are like different part of Canada. It was a long and painful process, especially if my friend only have a pay-as-you-go cell phone and we have already wasted 60$ just calling tech support (because she taken dry-loop for VOIP thingy) and a miscommunication of confirmation of address in result of a 2 weeks delay of activation.
The other issue, well, it's the modem, was it ever set to the house or have to be picked up at the post office? I don't know, it wasn't sent to her place, ended up only at the post office to be picked up.
Other then that, that's about it. Love you guys, but that was a long process just to sign up. *lol*

| reply to inferno_gn Another happy ending, then.
It seems like this is one of the few cases where an install went wrong and it wasn't Bell's fault. Your friend's experience is also why I refuse to give up my land line just yet, incidentally. I like not having to count my minutes. |

| reply to inferno_gn Hi there,
True, problem is, they never actually attempted to deliver, jsut drop a pick-up notice, that's all. I wonder if Teksavvy actually only allow pick-up only (sometimes it is done by request of the sender), she told me she had to pay for S&H...

There was a shipping discussion thread here before... (here »Teksavvy is great but you need to stop using Canada Post.... )
TSI marks the items as "Card for Pickup" which automatically sends the item to the Post Office...and sends the receiver a Pickup Notice... (so no delivery is attempted)
The reason behind this is that Canada Post has a habit of safe-dropping packages (leaving them outside the door) even if there is no one home (which of course leads to missing packages)
The "Card for Pickup" option ensures that the correct person picks up the modem and collects a signature without having to charge the extra cost of the "Signature Option"... |
