[Rant] Ed-Cons and Troubled Teen "Programs"

OK if you have kids dont send them to these places total scams
and then the Ed-Cons these people get kick backs for referrals
nothing is regulated and most of programs are using cult brainwashing methods on the kids

it gets better they will do ANY THING to keep your kid in the program and keep the money coming in there not cheap 50k a year is not uncommon

The price they pay for not parenting when the 'parents' should have.

back before the TV and internet became the babysitter, you rarely heard about unruly children.

my fav from the list is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
fun fact most of the kids come out WITH that lol i even want to think what would happen to kid with it in the first place

see thats the thing is modern day snake oil for parents that "think" there kid might be out of control or no able to make it

that "program" i linked uses some thing called LGAT
»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Large_Grou···Training

they also have a cult roots
»en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Synanon
One of the leading members, Mel Wasserman, left Synanon in order to create his own line of specialty schools. The schools, known as CEDU (or Charles E. Dederich University) , are still in operation under new ownership praising the principles of the Synanon treatment strategy as a core element in their approach with teenagers [11].
most of the programs are CEDU clones this one is even run by former CEDU staff

Wow, uh, did they leave anything out? That's about as catch-all a list of problems as I've ever seen.

Thank God I'm only suffering from the first 27 afflictions on the list (motivation has never been a problem with me).

They left out "Bad Parenting Syndrome."
