| Steelseries WOW Mouse
Does anyone else own the Steelseries WOW mouse? I just got it yesterday and I downloaded the software. I am trying to get my profile loaded when I launch WOW but haven't been able to get any of it working when I am in game.
Anyone have some insight or help info on this mouse? |

| reply to Stevie7 I tried one out at the store and didn't like it.
I ended up getting a good quality corded laser mouse with 5 buttons. and got a Logitech G15 keyboard for all my macros. between the extra buttons on the mouse and keyboard it is very nice!!
I have my login set on macro also so I press 1 key for username and 1 key for password. |

| reply to Stevie7 I'm trying to replace my Razer Diamondback. I saw that WoW mouse and I never thought I'd say it, but TOO MANY BUTTONS! I fake used it at the display for 5 minutes and really couldn't see using it without hitting all those side buttons on accident all raid long. They'd have to be skills that wouldn't suck to hit on accident, and well that makes it fairly pointless to put them over there anyway.
Probably getting another razer though. This one has taken a beating like no other and it's hands down the best I've owned. It fits me perfectly without hitting things on accident yet having enough buttons to do what I need. -- Baka wa shinanakya naoranai |

I like wireless. I used the mx700 then the mx1000, so I decided to try microsoft wireless and it sucked ass! I think I spent about $80 on one and it doesn't track fast enough. Move the mouse too fast and it skips/lags
Does razor have a wireless model? I guess I could get one of the wired models with weights. I just can't handle the weight of a normal wired mouse now that I am used to dragging around big batteries, and the new logitech wireless has a scroll wheel by your thumb that I don't think feels the slightest bit comfortable.
Edit: Well I just saw the logitech G7 wireless and I think I know what I'm buying. Its sweet they give you two batteries to switch now, that was always my biggest problem with the logitech wireless, the charging station got moody and became hard to get synced with mouse after awhile. -- the answers to all lifes questions... »www.google.com |

| reply to Stevie7 I'll stick up for the Steel Series...I have used it for several months and love it. I haven't had the first problem out of it depsite the flak I was hearing when I bought it.
The four position button on the left side is sweet. For my ret pally, I have CS-DS-JoW-HoJ tied to that one and can easily spam between them. 2 buttons above that switch are set for a flash heal and bubble. Having everything right there amd easily accesible is a huge plus. It is highly configurable and easy to set for each profile. It will even dload your character tab from Armory for easy tabbing in profile creation.
The only downside that I have encountered is that the button links have to be tied to your main action bar. To get around that, I just created macros for my common buffs.
As far as it not working in game, make sure that the desired profile is active, I color code each class profile to that class's color for easy reference. I remember having some issues on my laptop and was resolved by a reboot or profile switch. Sorry am not more help on that front. |

All you need is one experience of the thing dieing mid fight before you throw it across the room and swear to never use a wireless mouse again... |

| reply to Zyncotl People didn't think they needed 4 wheels when they had a perfectly functional wheelbarrow. The WoW mouse is a wired mouse can can go up to 3200dpi...the user can configure dpi settings as well as all x and y mouse senisitivity.
Good gaming mouse and I suppose I am blessed to be immune from all negative reviews....knock on wood. |

| reply to Stevie7 Re: G7. I use it at work and like it for regular computing. I took it home and tried it with WoW and CS:S and really didn't like it. It sits too high and creates a bad angle for my wrist that just didn't feel right. I have to swap batteries every 2 days or so, but that's fine as I use it for ~9 hours a day almost non-stop. 18 hours of real run time, and I never turn it off at all. Can't complain a whole lot there.
I think I'm going to try the wireless razer - »www.razerzone.com/gaming-mice/razer-mamba/
The biggest addiction for razers for me is the slick design. It really seems to fit in my hand perfectly. That's why I'm still wired too at home - The wireless ones just feel so clunky. Going to try to find a Mamba in a local retail store to play with next week I think.. -- Baka wa shinanakya naoranai |

ok, first question... what kind of hook up are you on. i was in the sand box when i got mine. and the connection was way too slow for me to download the profiles. i got on a high speed connection and that was fixed.
i use 9 of the buttons all the time. and have 1 perma macroed... but i re-done all my attack buttons and put them on the 6 buttons on the left side for the most part. i sit and play and raid with 1 hand. the buttons on top are all my oh crap buttons for all my toons... |

| Got it working. As long as the actual mouse hold up I like a lot so far its nice to have certain abilities at the ready. I play a Holy pally and it nice to put a lot of the Hand spells and sheilds on the mouse and then put HoW and bubble in case of oh shit moments. After a few weeks of getting used to it should be great |
