| [Lens] Renting a Lens - Hard choice, any suggestions?
I currently own a Canon Rebel XT, with stock lens. But I was thinking of taking some family photos, and the thought of renting a better lens came to mind.
Here is a look at some canon lens and prices from a local company, most range from $15 - $40 for a weekend. Seems very reasonable.

If you were to choose, which lens would be most worth it? Also I suppose I might need to add a flash also, the 580ex is only $16 for the weekend... |

| really depends on what/where you're going to be shooting.. 1 person, more than one, indoors, outdoors?
If it's just one person at a time and you can get the distance from your subject, I'd go with the 85 f/1.2 (always wanted to try that lens). If it's more than one person, I'd probably go with the 16-35L or 24-70L. The 70-200/f2.8L IS makes a nice portrait lens too, but I've already got that one.
If you're going to get a flash, get an off camera shoe cord too. -- My Pbase Gallery |
