 | No caps = high price Nice to see that providers are now going to justify ludicrous pricing by saying that their subscriptions don't have caps. Don't make something that should be totally normal and to be expected as something that is new or worthy of a high price. |

 | I agree, but to be fair this cable company is small and doesn't have the economy of scale or resources that the larger operators have.
Hopefully their release of a very high-speed tier is accompanied by an increase in the speeds of the lower tiers.
If not then a ludicrously expensive 50mbit tier won't mean much to anyone but the most hardcore of users. |

| reply to sonicmerlin Well, Midco did indeed up their other tiers so I'd say the net impact of a D3 rollout is positive. $125 for internet is a bit rich for my blood, but with no caps I'm sure it's an alpha telecommuter's dream.
Me? I'd probably try the 50/5 tier for a month, then go back to 25/2. If it was 50/10 or 50/15 I'd stick around longer though... |

 | reply to me1212 Exactly, here is a smaller ISP going DOCSIS 3.0. They don't have no where near the amount of funding Comcast or Time Warner have and they have to spend more for their lines unlike Comcast or TW who have the financial backing and pay next to nothing for their lines (because they own them or get it at dirt like prices). So why the delay? Why are they dragging their feet? Why do we have to pay ungodly amounts for up-to-date systems when they only have to pay a fraction of the price per subscriber to upgrade their systems? |
