Re: No caps = high price I agree, but to be fair this cable company is small and doesn't have the economy of scale or resources that the larger operators have.
Hopefully their release of a very high-speed tier is accompanied by an increase in the speeds of the lower tiers.
If not then a ludicrously expensive 50mbit tier won't mean much to anyone but the most hardcore of users. |

Only 240,000 users total & also only rolling this out to a couple communities right now(West Fargo, Sioux Falls, Moorhead(MN)). No schedule available of how soon they will roll this out to their other 197 communities. »www.midconews.com/index.php/about-midco/ »www.midcocomm.com/welcome/moorhe···ndex.cfm -- My BLOG .. .. | reply to sonicmerlin Well, Midco did indeed up their other tiers so I'd say the net impact of a D3 rollout is positive. $125 for internet is a bit rich for my blood, but with no caps I'm sure it's an alpha telecommuter's dream.
Me? I'd probably try the 50/5 tier for a month, then go back to 25/2. If it was 50/10 or 50/15 I'd stick around longer though... |
