 | Mini review I live in Sioux Falls and am very happy with their service. They did give an upgrade for their lower tiers. They called ahead of time warning me their would be a cost increase of $5 for which was for their mid-level tier. It is 15Mbps down / 1mbps up, was 10 down / 512 up. Firmware was updated automatically on modem. My pings have been pretty low and steady (no dropped packets).
Pricing is pretty competitive. The package I have is phone with unlimited long distance (call waiting, id, etc), internet (15down/1up), cable 1 premium channel, about 36 HD (1080i)channels, HDDVR receiver, HD receiver( no dvr) and sports package, basic for $125 after taxes and fees for 1st year. Now its about $162 after taxes and fees.
As long as it doesn't get abusive they allow to switch a premium channel with another for free on the fly. I haven't seen any downtime in 2 years for cabletv, internet has been down maybe 3 times in 10 years other than the scheduled maintenance which they mail out a letter to give a 30 day notice. And no signed contract which is what I was interested in.
In these days of poor customer service, I think it should be noted company's like this should be given a pat on the back. |
