| Smaller ISPs PenTeledata/Service Electric has had D3 out here in NW NJ/E. PA for a little less than a year now.
Besides, why the big deal about D3? NYC has FiOS anyway. |

| Here's the difference: SEBB is 30/2 on DOCSIS 3 (Cablevision did that on DOCSIS 1.1) and is capped at less than 200GB. Whereas Midco offers 25/2 on DOCSIS 1.1 (everywhere) and 50/5 on DOCSIS 3 (some places) with no caps on a slightly higher quality network (three Tier 1 carriers vs. a bevy of tier 2 connectivity, plus XO). |

That's true. I have the 30/2 tier with a 100GB cap and it stinks.
Unfortunately there aren't any viable alternatives out here. |

My main point was that in NYC itself there isn't really a shortage of connectivity options, as the city has a FiOS franchise agreement and multiple cable ISPs including Cablevision, Time Warner and RCN. (CV and TWC do serve different areas, but RCN overbuilds in some areas). |
