Re: install fees? The fees are usually less the more services you get. With just internet and TV they tag on more fees than the triple play. The triple play was $99 with a $29.99 fee to activate the voice line and $29.99 connect fee. They waived the $99 fee for me. It does cost them money to send someone out there and like you I live in pre-wired building. They need to physically come on site to go to a utility room and connect your apartment to cable. They physically disconnect it when the previous tenant leaves to make sure no one can get free cable. Also, in my building Comcast, RCN and Fios all use the same coax so it is likely that it will be disconnected for another providers service. Even if you don't have that, they will disconnect it to keep people from stealing cable. |
