Comcast getting Samsung Cable Boxes?

Has anyone heard anything about Comcast getting Samsung Cable Boxes? According to a Cable Rant article they are coming soon.

If it is true, hopefully, they will be better than the shit Comcast has now.

No you won't see Samsung boxes being deployed for Comcast. Comcast has the Panasonic TZ-PCH2180 (RNG-200) and the Motorola DCX. The DCX is already being deployed in a few divisions but it has HDMI issues. The panasonic box has yet to have been deployed. The DCX and Panasonic DVR have 250 GB HDD's. Motorola even has a 320 GB version available and you can order it with MoCA for multi room DVR viewing.

Maybe by than Comcast will have more equipment from Motorola that is MoCA certified.Currently only the DCX3200M and the QIP boxes are.

Oh okay. It's not for now though. I knew that the new boxes support MoCA. That will be nice to be able to get those boxes when they come out.

Although, since I already have 6 MoCA 1.0 bridges in my network, two MoCA DVRs will max me out. But, I can live with that.

I didn't bother to look it up, but I believe the Panasonic, Samsung, Pace, and one or two Cisco models are all MoCA certified and in the field for Comcast as well.

My DCH-3416 and DCT-700 have MOCA diagnostic pages. What are they doing in there if they aren't MOCA certified? Yet they can't even put native passthrough in the DCH-3416, but they can put in unsupported MOCA in the firmware image.

Samsung box would go nice with my Samsung TV. Would like to try anything but Motorola at this point.
