Re: About time This OS will be for low end consumer machines to pimp Google apps and ads. Why in the world would any corp IT departments deploy it? Clearly some don't appreciate the conservative nature of corp IT when it comes to security and manageability. You think it will snap in to domain polices and AD out of the gate? I don't. The net book market has cooled off as consumers are realizing that for another $50 they can get a capable machine with a larger screen. Netbook's max 10 inch screen makes it a struggle to use for more than a few minutes. If people have to lug around a machine in a tote bag, a small laptop and a netbook are the same schlep factor. Why suffer? Nitch market for the Google OS just like linux |

All you need to do is run windows xp and you have a ultraportable work machine. I run xp, office, and autocad on my netbook. Windows XP would be much better than google OS or linux unless the software your company uses does not have to be on windows. -- For those of you playing a drinking game.... MY FRIENDS! |
