I'm with TWC and have a choice of RR or EL. EL is $3 less per month.

Who knows what EL's download limits really are??? I just got the dreaded email yesterday, but only after unusually heavy downloading over the past month. I'm sure I've greatly exceeded any of the limits mentioned in this thread. Anyway, I switched to another email address and will see what happens with that.

If worse comes to worse, I can always go back to Newshosting's unlimited plan for $15 per month. That's where I was when EL had ridiculously low limits before they outsourced their Usenet. NH now has 453 days of binary retention (more than 2 years for text), up to 30 connections and free SSL encryption.

Call TW for any service issues: outages, billing, replacement modem, etc.

Call Earthlink for anything that is Earthlink-specific: email, newsgroups

Just try creating new email accounts and using those to login to the usenet servers for awhile, see if that works. I d/led another 3GBs tonight, no issues.

This just happen today? I downloaded 7 GBs in the past 24 hours, no errors here.

100-150 days? It's always been 100 days exactly for me, all binary groups. Anyone else have >100 days for binaries?

Ignore my previous posts to this thread about limits per account, a friend was logged in and it caused those issues.

ISP provided usenet service is never meant to completely replace a subscription with a premium provider. Although some do come close.
