So the trainee does most of the work and the trainer takes most of the tips. It's just how it works and the perks of being an experienced waitperson. I mention that to point out that tipping more will not insure that the trainee get's a vastly higher amount.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[r81984 posted : When I worked in the restaraunt, it was not expected to tip more because there was a trainee.<br><br>Depending on the restaraunt the trainee could be getting paid a "no tip" trainee wage or if they might be splitting tips with the server. <description><![CDATA[Maccawolf posted : If you go to a restaurant and are served by a waitperson, but there is a trainee following your waitperson around like a lost puppy (obviously a new person trying to learn the ropes), how do you tip?  <br><br>Do you just tip normal, or do you add extra for the second person?
