[VA] Internet goes down at certain times of day, and lag

Hey I've had this problem for a while now and usually during the summer my internet drops or lags. its not my neighborhood because i've been to my friends house and he never gets these spikes or downtime. Im unsure whether its my house or the outside line and was wondering for someones opinion. The signal i get is suposedly strong, but my internet sometimes completly drops and the online thing never connects

some issue is causing your modem to lose synch with the cmts and reboot.
you will want to pm your mac address to one of the cox technicians on this board ( CoxTech1 See Profile would be a good place to start) so they can get a larger view of what is going on.
it really sounds like you're going to need to have a truck roll to fix the issue. you may want to call in and make sure that you have the cox service assurance plan (csap) so they don't bill you for a service call if its a problem with your inside cabling.

Yes, you can cancel the wire plan after one month. The catch is if you do you can not add it again for a certain period of time. Just make sure everything works properly before you cancel it.

Yes, there's a 6 month rule for the Cox Service Assurance Plan cancellations to keep people from abusing it. Once 6 months has passed since the last time you cancelled CSAP you'll be eligible to re-enroll if you wish.
