Two things:
1. Call your current provider(s) for these services and say that you are thinking about cancelling, they may offer you discounts on the spot to stay (ex. VZ offered me $10 lower to keep my phone)
2. Check with current users of the new provider that you are considering switching to. They can tell you if they are actually getting the advertised speeds (if that is important to you).
