| CT AG doesn't like CV's exclusive MSNBC deal
"Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal wants the FCC to look into an exclusive agreement between Cablevision and MSNBC, saying it disserves the public interest and may be illegal.
In a letter to FCC chairman Julius Genachowski, Blumenthal "urged" the new chairman to investigate the deal, which he said prevents AT&T Connecticut's U-Verse competing multichannel video service from competing in Cablevision's franchise areas."

All these years of DirectTV's exclusive NFL package and we get a complaint about a poorly rated cable news net!? |

| One is a basic cable TV channel, the other a premium sports package. A big difference there IMO, since one should be carried on all cable/satellite systems with their basic package. The NFL Sunday Ticket will always be a premium package where a customer would have to pay extra for it. Regardless, I don't think there is anything Blumenthal can do & U-Verse/FIOS have to wait until the contract expires, whenever that is. |

IF msnbc cant do this then neither should the nfl I'm not talking broadcast basic here! I am talking basic cable, which with Cablevision is Family Cable. Imagine Fox News or CNN having exclusives, it is a channel people expect on a basic cable tier since it is a news channel. |
