OK. They came today and provisioned me from the RT rather than the CO.
As soon as they reconnected, my speed test went from .6MB down to 1.3Mb down.
Called AT&T to upgrade to a 3.0 account AND.... they say it's not available on my account. Hoping this is due to the sytem needing to catch up to the shorter distance/performance. -- Let's Roll 9-11-01 |

2 edits | The information in their internal database which tells them what speeds you have available to your home can often take several days to be updated after a change.
When David took a look at my line numbers and said I was good enough for Elite, it took a few days between him making the change in their systems and it actually being available.
If you're connected to a router then you can connect directly to the modem for a couple of minutes to pull those line stats and post them here. Alternatively, if you aren't comfortable doing that you can post in Direct and have David or one of the other wizards see what speeds your line can now support (hopefully Elite) and they can make the arrangements for it to actually become available to you. -- My PC Gaming Blog »thegaffadin.blogspot.com |

| Another thing also is when you move from an C.O. to an R.T. connection it takes as least 24-48 hours to see the first sync numbers stored, and be able to access the port stats directly.
I told him in about 2 weeks he shouldn't have any problems ordering, and will probably be able to do it online. |
