As much as I dislike cats, kittens are another story. To bad they have to grow up!!
My initial response was going to be shoot it, but it's just a kitten!!
Not into animal cruelty, but there simply are way to many cats running around unchecked. Dogs to, for that matter.
Glad you were able to rescue the ones you have. -- The Firefox alternative. »www.mozilla.org/projects/seamonkey/ |

The North Shore Animal League has a very high adoption rate for kittens. They will also do the tests and give them the shots if you haven't already. -- ~ Insert a Funny Sig Here ~ |

| me and my wife found a kitten on the corner of a busy street. There was no way this kitten could have gotten there from one of the local houses, and it was very people friendly. We figured at first that it was a stray and tried walking away, but as we looked back at the grey furball, it was running as fast as it could meowing at us, so we stopped, picked it up, and made arrangements for it at her mom's for the night while we found it a home. The vet said it looks like one of many he has seen. Good health, been around people. As people move out, they have just been dumping their pets. Grebo (the cat) now has a good home at her sisters, and is spoiled. Talk about a lucky cat. -- Reality: I am bearly able to handle ality, why do I want it again?

| It was a funny set up. The sister's Husband was thinking that we might have set this up, as their cats had died 3 months earlier, and she was so down in the dumps. -- Reality: I am bearly able to handle ality, why do I want it again?

They are now some of the most loving cats I have ever seen. So yeah, just because they were once feral doesn't mean they'll always be feral. We took in a feral queen Siamese and her 5 kittens. 1 is a male Siamese and the sisters are all black. They were born in our shed on our property. They are all happy here and now behave normally after our loving care. Sadly, the mother died this past December of old age. We really miss her. OMG! How do you handle all the "talking"? | reply to stevennb man, the shelters here are utterly useless. I called and even went over there to explain the situation and they pretty much told me that they have more than enough cats/dogs to handle.
I contacted the vet I use and was told that it would be $80 to give a examination and some antibiotics.
and they won't do a pay by week thing either. -- "They moved my desk 4 times already this year and I used to be over by the window and I could see the squirrels and they were married, but then they moved my desk and they switched from the Swingline to the Boston stapler. |

| The three we rescued cost us $360 to have them initially examined, they are due up for a followup VERY soon...
I see it as money well spent.

My companion of 18 years, an American Short-hair Snowshoe with the kindest temperament was adopted by me from the shelter. They have excellent programs for help with veterinary and spading/neutering costs.
Sadly, my cat passed away a few months shy of her 19th birthday, but she had a wonderful, secure and very beloved life.
She's was a 1989 North Shore Alumni ;p North Shore Animal League continues to be one of the few charities I'll always gladly donate to.
