| Broadband options in Portland My wife and I are going to be relocating to Portland, OR this spring from Milwaukee, WI (looking forward to the nice weather!).
Does anyone have any suggestions on good broadband options in the Portland area? Presently I have Road Runner and I am pretty happy with it. Prior to that I was Telocity (DTV DSL) customer who bailed out after Rhythms went under.
Any suggestions would be appreciated -- You've glimpsed the fist within the Bene Gesserit glove. Few glimpse it and live. |

| Do you have any idea what part of Portland you will be moving to? There are a few pretty good options, but zip codes plays a major factor in what you can get. -- AreYou Doing It? |

| reply to joncellini I did a few searches using different zip codes and it looks like you will have a choice of cable or DSL. I'm in an outlying area of the city called Forest Grove and my only option right now is Verizon. I am getting great speeds and have no problems with them. Most of Verizon's problems are on the east coast. Sorry I couldn't be more help. -- AreYou Doing It? |

| reply to joncellini In Portland Qwest owns most of the DSL lines, but you can usually get another service through their lines if pay them for the usage of their lines.
There is also AT&T Broadband(Cable) in Most areas of Portland, and surrounding areas. If you can get AT&T, its cheaper overall for the bandwidth you will receive.
That's about it.... |
