[2K3] Setting up SQL Server Active/Passive

I have a box of SQL server 2005 developer edition as a test bed.

Sometimes, when I do basic maintenance that takes about 5-15 minutes, I have to put this server offline awhile. As a result, it causes some database apps failing to connect.

Now, I have a idea. I may install another SQL server in VM so it makes it like Active/Passive. So when the main box is doing maintenance, the Passive rolls it over for a while.

Since I already have a main box, How can I set up the Passive box?

Please advise.
