| [General] DSL connection drops
I did a search and couldn't find a anything similar.
Here's what happens, I'm surfing right along and all of the sudden the connection fails, then the automatic reconnect box pops up, does a four second countdown, and then it reconnects with no problem. This is very random. Sometimes I'll be connected for days without it happening, sometimes it will do it a couple times a day, and sometimes it will happen 5-10 tomes a day.
I am probably one of the few still on a dedicated DSL line, my OS is Windows XP Pro, I have a Speedstream 5260 router, and it's an Earthlink/Covad connection.
It's not a huge problem, but it gets annoying. |
