The really intriguing thing is that the company which owned those components had terminated me for cause (attendance) a couple of years earlier. They owned the facility, and the contents, but contracted labor to a third party, which, in turn, hired temps to meet their facility staffing requirements.
BTW, most temps I've known have been at least as honorable as their regular hire counterparts.
(Oh, and that third party contractor was even stricter about attendance than the company that canned me; but I had learned my lesson!)
