What Cable Modem(s) does Knology use?

I'm considering switching to knology soon. If I do get Knology I plan on purchasing my own cable modem instead or renting one. What cable modem should I get if I use Knology?

Thanks
Joe

the only good thing about renting or having it in your package is that if it breaks or is defective, you get a new one for the cost of 0 cents...

my cable modem is a arris...
and it's ok, no problems with it...

I personally wouldn't waste my time switching over to Knology...

I've used both an older RCA (I forget the model number) and currently use an Motorola SURFboard SB5120 or SB5101. (Can confirm model number tonight)

You can go to BestBuy or where ever and get a list of modems and model numbers then call Knology and ask them if their service works with that model(s) modem.

Edit* SUFboard????? Should have been SURFboard.

They have SA:
dpx100
dpx110
dpx2100
dpc2100
dpc2100r2

and Arris:
cm450a
cm550a

3-Com Ambit

Motorola:
SB5100

But.... all of that varies depending on the city you are in. I'm sure there are others, but that's 90% of the ones I've seen.
