| [FireFox] crashing too much
I've been noticing lots of crashes lately. Is that just me, or it's really FF that is having stability issues?
To its credit, it will restart properly, and sometimes even keeping my post that was being typed intact, but the lack of stability is aggravating. -- And the winner is: |

Try disabling all your add ons and see if that makes a difference. If it does, you'll have to add them back one by one to see which one is causing the problem. |

| reply to aurgathor agree with DaMan666. I had instability under a previous Fx version and the culprit proved to be an add-on. It was one that wasn't crucial to my use so away it went without me searching for an alternative. -- My sig is more ideologically rabid than yours. |

At this point I can't really get a handle on what I am doing at the time of the relatively infrequent crash so I can't begin to investigate what one of the 23 add-ons is the culprit and in all honesty, it is not really worth the time at this point to figure it out.
However, if FF were crashing all the time (as in your case) I would definitely want to get to the bottom of it by a) trying to find the pattern that causes the crash and b) going in safe mode to see if the crash occurs there and finally c) creating a new profile and then adding back each add-on one at at time while testing for the crash. |
