I got the following response from VT:

We do not have an access code that can be dialed to reach SIP Broker.
It's too bad since number@ISP.COM is pretty much impossible to dial on a standard phone. Yes, I know how to set up a speed dial and I've even used my dial plan to convert 411, but a star code would be really nice. Looking at SIPBroker.com, it appears many voice services have such ability, but VT can't figure it out?
