Thanks, but the desire is to be able to call OTHER SIP numbers. SIPBroker appears to be a good clearing house where you can "dial" through to other carriers. For example, as a CallCentric customer I can dial **275*5071NxxNxxxxx to reach a VT number and not have to use +1NxxNxxxxx@incoming.vnoc.net in a speed dial entry.
Personally, I believe IP to IP to IP calls will be better quality than IP to PTSN to IP. Plus, dialing an access number (like **275) gives the best flexibility so I don't need to be online to enter the SIP URI address.
Yes, there are other features that need more attention, but you never know when some of these corner cases will provide unpredicted benefits. So I hope they put it on the list. |
