| is this ambilight?
Hmm so I search samsclub for Ambilight »www.samsclub.com/shopping/search···emtype=0
I get »www.samsclub.com/shopping/naviga···m=427745
quote: It includes not only picture, but the complete viewing experience, including sound and Ambilight settings.
but I guess it has no ambilight built in
does it?
it's an accessory that I would need to get? but I can't find it?
what's going on? |

| As I can't find the proper model number for that set on the site, I can't really tell you if it has Ambilight or not.
Ambilight isn't a separate accessory, it is a pair of LED lights built into the back of the panel that light the wall / area surrounding the back of the set.
From the Philips website:
Ambilight makes an impressive contribution to the overall viewing experience by producing ambient light to complement the colors and light intensity of the on-screen image. It adds a new dimension to the viewing experience, completely immersing you into the content you are watching. It creates ambiance, stimulates more relaxed viewing, and improves perceived picture detail, contrast and color. Ambilight automatically and independently adapts its colors according to the changing content on the screen. »www.consumer.philips.com/consume···ESSIONAL |

| reply to inGearX I think the Sam's Club 52' you're looking at is some version of the Philips 52PFL5603D as it has a 5ms refresh and its 60Hz and no Ambilight.
The 120Hz version at Sam's is the 52PFL7403D/F7 »www.samsclub.com/shopping/naviga···tg=13307 |
