I get this call about 4 time a week for the last few months. from 1-866-754-6001
It starts out like this.
This message is for Tammi Burton, if you are not Tammi Burton then hang up now.
Then it repeats something simular to that a few more time before it goes into the pitch about a collection agency. (Collect corp)
Not sure if this is some kind of scam or not, but no one by that name lives here or has every lived here. I have called the number and no one will ever answer and it is french and american on the message you get when you call.
Anybody else getting this type of calls and what might this SCAM be if it is a SCAM and not just a wrong number (mine) in the system. I have not figured out how to block just this number from being able to call me. |

Looks like Collect Corp is a debt collector. Sounds as if someone might have transposed some numbers in this woman's file. I would send off a letter demanding that they remove your number from her file, post haste, as you have no idea who she is. Their address, in case you care to do so, is as follows:

You may want to send it certified mail, return receipt requested, so that you'll have proof of mailing. If they continue to call after that, you do have the option of taking them to small claims court for harassment. A bit extreme, perhaps, but this is obviously a mistake, and you deserve peace and quiet, as it's not you they're trying to contact. Good luck. |

I called that number and after going through the menu's i final left a message ( a little forceful ) but it think it was within reason. Anyways i have not got another call ever since.
That call came in so many time i just assumed it was a scam.
Like the calls i got for awhile, "this is Heather, if you want to reduce you intrest rate..." some thing like that and i always just hang up, i know that one was a scam. |
