Re: Ubee (Ambit) U10C035 Modem screenshots said by nate1234:great... now comcast only has ubee modems I hope the tech can find a DPC3000 or SB6120 (hopefully the DPC3000) The only issues I've had with my SB6120 were Comcast's problems, not the modem directly. Examples would be yesterday, they pushed a new firmware, which worked fine, but changed the config file they were sending to the modem so it had the wrong speeds. The modem wasn't at fault, it was just doing what it was being told to do. -- Duct tape is like The Force it has a light side and a dark side, and it binds the Universe together |

 | no, it is definitely a problem with the modem. Ubee confirms, the newest FW conflicts with Arris C4 CMTS's. The old firmware is being sent out, and my speeds are now worse. |

| I haven't used an Ubee modem, so I don't know. I was just pointing out that not all SB6120's are having issues that are related to the modem. Even the non-D3 ambit modems are pretty junky though, I have seen my fair share of issues with them when servicing clients. -- Duct tape is like The Force it has a light side and a dark side, and it binds the Universe together |

 | oh, ok. Well my speeds are back up to what they should be (well, not upload speed. That is still on QPSK and at 2.560 Msym/sec). I am still hoping for a DPC3000 |

 | reply to Cjaiceman I have the same thing with the new firmware and the wrong config. Tech had me on the phone for 20 minutes just now and he can not get it to accept the ultra config He said he would call back in a hour.
Sounds like the run around to me.

| My issue was the config file had been edited on their end and was set to 3300/256 (YUCK!), their NOC got it figured out and dropped the right file on my local TFTP server, rebooted the modem and it was fixed. This is a different issue that your seeing. Sounds more like what n0xlf was seeing. -- Duct tape is like The Force it has a light side and a dark side, and it binds the Universe together |
