To get from Whippany to ANYPLACE with a water view, will probably require more than an hour's drive.

Have a great time though!

You could invite them up your house to hang out at your pool and nuke some bacon cheeseburgers for them!

I think you meant to reply to Macca. I left NYC long before the Jersey side of the Hudson became a destination.

ONLY 32 Miles? DC DSL See Profile, how long does it take to drive 32 miles in and around DC?

There are probably lots of places on the palisades. Fort Lee, and Englewood Cliffs etc, but my thing isn't really DINING OUT, so I can't suggest anything in particular. Try AAA, or Zagats.

SORRY.....

That depends on where you're starting from and when. On a weekend, that's generally 40 minutes or less. I've made it from my house to the start of cruising for parking at an Os or Ravens game up in Baltimore in 50 minutes...Can get to Frederick where stillrunnin See Profile is in about the same amount of time. That's like 40-45 miles.
