LTE chips that can go into phones (not just data cards), and meet performance/battery requirements, won't come out until 2011 or so. And it'll take another year for companies to build phones around them. So don't expect an LTE based iPhone (or any other handset for that matter) until 2012 at the earliest.
Apple will likely keep the iPhone exclusive on AT&T in the U.S., and milk them for all they're worth until then. |
