andyr : Yup - fully realise that - PC had a static of 10.0.0.199 which could ping the 10.0.0.1 address of the 5260-now-5660.

The 5260 that still is a 5260 doesn't give any ping responses and I can't telnet into it, indicative that it has lost its 10.0.0.1 IP - still works as a bridge though.... thats the one I was asking about.

The third one I think is wheel chock material.....
andyr : Hi all,

I have an (old!) Efficient 5260 that is working fine in bridge mode however it does not respond to telnets or pings to 10.0.0.1 --- is there any way of resetting the modem (other than a power off which doesn't help) so that it remembers it's IP?

I also have one that all 4 lights come up red when powered up (and stays that way) - is this one only good for a wheel chock??

Both modems (and a third that is working 100% as a 5660 router) are 5260's with part number 060-5660-004.

Thanks

Andrew
