It hasn't arrived yet,  but thanks again to all for the suggestions, ideas, recommendations.  I hope all goes well  ;)]]></description>

PCMCIA, not at all common on newer models (but may be available on some business notebook models), and you can pretty much forget a parallel port...9 pin com ports are gone as well.<br><br>The parallel port should not be a biggie, as you can buy a parallel to usb cable easily enough (though they are pricey).<br><br>You might need to consider a custom designed notebook for what you are looking for.<br><small>--<br>Deeds, not words</small>]]></description>
