 | Is anyone expected to offer fiber-to-the-home on Oahu in the near future? |

Sandwich Isles Communications is feeding at the federal gravy train trough. Thus they are able to wire DHHL homestead land with fiber-optics using USDA RUS loans. |

 | So, if hypothetically I lived in one of those new developments in Ewa, where is it on the Hawaiintel website that shows the rates for their fiber plans, and where would I signup?
I certainly could be wrong, but I seriously doubt they provide a true FTTH service, similar to Verizon's FIOS service on the mainland. |

trac join:2006-11-17 Mililani, HI | From what I've seen is that the Fiber goes all the way to the House to the Grey box sitting outside the house and has a battery backup on it. From there it is wired in the house. I'm not sure where in Ewa that they are putting in the FTTH but I know that Ford Island homes have FTTH now (Seen since I used to work on Ford Island). and I heard that that new building in Town Keola Lai? has Fiber to the Building but that's all I've heard. |
