 any experience technical difficulties today?

Hey guys,

My Internet was out for almost 4 hours today and so does my cable TV and my phone service (cable). Sorry if I posted this on the wrong forum or section, but I live in the Harwood & Hwy. 2 area in Ajax and when I was surfing the 'net this morning and while watching "The price is right" on my telly today, the picture began to froze on my screen and while I was surfing the internet, there isn't any activity. By the way, I use Rogers Hi-speed Express and the phone service was provided by Rogers.

The lights were still flashing on my cable modem and the unit for my home service for almost 4 hours until all the lights came back solid green.

I didn't do anything for the four hours I had with the outage, but to my prediction - there was some construction work in my neighbourhood and I believe that the workers might have cut the cable while doing the construction work. That's my guess.

Did anyone who lives in this particular area experience some technical difficulty today?

When that kind of thing happens, the way to get resolution is 1-888-rogers1

A cable cut makes sense given that all services were out ... but there are 101 possible other reasons.

The reason the modem's lights were blinking is because it was trying to "range" ... I.e. it was trying to reestablish connection. The lights blink in a particular pattern when it does this.
