Yet when I tried to do this...

...I was chastized by BBRers for trying....

»[TWC] Time Warner = herd of morons!

As I said in my earlier post:

If you don't ASK, then you already know the answer, don't you?

This was totally different, you were trying to get an offer that was expired. Reps just cant make up offers on the fly. Once they are expired in the system they are expired.

Re: Yet when I tried to do this...

I find it impossible to believe that within the entire Time Warner system there is no one that has ANY control over keeping a customer happy-be they new or old! Yet this is EXACTLY what you seem to be saying.
If what you claim is true, then what you are saying is that ALL the people who work for TW are robotoids who work FOR A COMPUTER 'system'-and have ZERO ability to make ANY changes.
If this is the case, then the people who have set up this system (ie: RUN TW) truly ARE a herd of morons!

I said that REPS can't make up offers on the fly. You wanted to get an offer that was created to help people after the DTV transistion. That offer had expired. I dont understand why you think a cable company should play "Lets make a deal"

You already have Direct TV installed anyway.

At TW, SUPERVISORS can't make deals either-nor will they put you in touch with someone who CAN make one!
I know, because I asked to speak with a supervisor. They refused to even talk with me!

Let me clue you into something Hob: companies play "Let's Make a Deal" EVERY DAY! Those who can't or won't eventually wind up road kill beside the road.

I told you why I wanted basic broadcast cable in my first post: I wanted to be able to view the local public access and Government channels.

But why do I need a reason? I'm a customer with money to spend. That ahould be all TW needs to know.

And Time Warner has a product, which it discounts on occasions and sets its prices as it feels. That should be all you need to know.

well i dont wanna pay 2.39/gal for gas, but i dont get pissed when they wont give me a discount.

I dont wanna pay 400 for a PS3, but i dont get mad when they dont gimme a discount

I could go on forever, but when i arrive, and that's the price, THAT IS THE PRICE. If i dont want to pay that price, i WILL SKIP. Not a hard concept to grasp.
