Ivan's house is pretty small for a CEO, he must have 20 of them. -- I love fish sticks. I love putting fish sticks in my mouth.

| yeah, but because its just outside NYC, it must cost in the millions of dollars for such a tiny 2500 sq ft home.

As a Verizon customer, I don't need to have my name, number and address plastered all over the 'net or phone list or whatever. Hopefully, this CEO will THINK the next time there's a privacy clause change of some kind. -- Illegal aliens have always been a problem in the United States. Ask any Indian. Robert Orben

| | | Actually Ivan Seidenberg's home value is very modest as is the area he lives in, it is much less than you think.
People somehow see CEOs as these greedy evil people but yet many of them are ethical really hard working people who contribute greatly to humanity at large, and that includes Mr. Seidenberg who runs the best wireless network in the USA and includes FIOS as well.

| | | | In 2007, President George W. Bush named Seidenberg to the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee, which advises the president on communications issues related to national security, emergency preparedness and the protection of critical infrastructure.
No, Ivan Seidenberg is not an ethical man. No one "advising" Bush could be considered ethical.

said by FHBroadband8: but yet many of them are ethical really hard working people who contribute greatly to humanity at large Undoubtedly some are, however the public's sympathy toward CEO inconveniences is in pretty short supply these days, regardless of who they are or what they've done. What people see are the large numbers of CEOs working for VERY large companies (of which Verizon is one) who are complete a-holes getting golden parachutes while their employees get 6 months of unemployment when the company fails and lays them off.
said by FHBroadband8:and that includes Mr. Seidenberg who runs the best wireless network in the USA and includes FIOS as well. That is obviously a matter of debate. The guy with the bullhorn would probably disagree with you as would many others I'm sure. As the figurehead of a corporation, Mr. Sidenberg is prone to the antics and or publicly demonstrated displeasure of people who see his corporation engaged in activities they find disagreeable. If he finds that unpalatable, then perhaps the position as CEO isn't suited for him. Alternately, he has the option of addressing this public complaint and resolving it which would probably go a long way toward demonstrating Mr. Seidenberg's character and courage. Most CEOs would disappear into their mansions and let the police and their PR people handle the fallout.
In an ideal world, the guy with the bullhorn would have sent Mr. Seidenberg a letter outlining the concerns and perhaps they would have been addressed. 1) This isn't an ideal world, and 2) for all we know, the guy with the bullhorn did just that and was totally ignored. -- Tradition: Just because you've always done it that way doesn't mean it's not incredibly stupid. --despair.com
