DIR-655 1.32 firmware - DNS relay issue (fixed)

Have run with the new firmware solid for the past couple days. The router still running smoothly and hasn't hang yet.

Maybe it is still too early to tell, but so far so good. It was hanging within a few hours of reboot for me with 1.31, so it is a big improvement for me.

Can we get more people to confirm this?

I cannot confirm that it is fixed.

1.32NA was posted less than three days ago. The freeze which disabling DNS Relay appeared to fix was occurring after several days in my case.

D-Link are not aware that they have fixed the problem, according to the release notes.

I updated to 1.32NA yesterday, left DNS Relay enabled, and will report back after several days.

I am running 1.32NA with DNS relay enabled. My current uptime is 1 Day, 20 Hours. I'll report back later to see how it goes. I usually had to reboot it every 3-5 days or so with the 1.31 firmware.

Router locked up after six days rather than the usual five. Improvements come in tiny steps

Skyweir, how can you have been running 1.32 six days when it was only released four days ago?

Are you a D-Link insider?

This firmware is exactly the same file as the 1.32 3rd beta.

No - it's not - if you do a binary compare on the two files - you'll find that they're drastically different.

You are comparing the .bin files correct. Reason I ask is the beta zip has the beta disclaimer in it plus the readmes are different. So the zip files are different.

It's the same file... I just did a binary comparison between the beta 03 bin file and final release.

Oh well...

Eh - exactly what comparison program are you running? From what I'm seeing - they're not they same...

Your comparing the wrong files.

Latest beta is dir655_firmware_132b03NA_beta.zip 7-16-2009

I stand corrected.. - funny, that zip file wasn't in that directory the other day when I pulled it down.

I must have checked against the other, newer beta file. Well, I'm glad I'm wrong!

BTW, I used the standard fc /b to do the file compare.

Well, I really hope this firmware is golden, as I've been waiting since 1.20 for a stable firmware for my A2.

Hard lock today. I have never had a problem with this router until today. That's because I have never had the feature enabled until yesterday.
