My friend has an iPhone and although she has full bars and 3G service it doesn't meant it will actually work here in NYC. She's has 5 bars and the internet wouldn't even load and this isn't all that uncommon.
I used to have ATT and I switch to Sprint a year ago and absolutely love it. I get service in the hospital where no other carrier does so I don't ever plan on leaving them.
