 A Tom Tom GPS Problem

I have a Tom Tom XL One GPS unit.
The problem I'm having with it is that every once in a while it just turns itself on (about once every 1-2 weeks or so).
It does it whether it is plugged into the car or sitting on the desk not plugged in.
Has anyone with this unit had the same problem?

Wasn't sure if this went here or in Automotive.

Might want to try this:

Have you updated to the latest firmware? If not, try doing so.

"using wordpad create a blank text file and save it as poweroff.txt (save as .txt document). Then using a file manager rename it to poweroff (remove the .txt suffix)"

I have a tomtom xl one.

This has only happened when plugged into the car. My car outlet is switched to when the car is on. And it seemed to do this sometimes when the outlet got switched on.
I has never happened any other time.
