| UK Government Petition: No Swine Vaccine is from a loony
said by Dude111 :» petitions.number10.gov.uk/noswinevaccineThis is only open to UK residents otherwise i would help you guys and sign it also!! Nothing should be forced upon anyone!! Please sign as soon as you can and ask as many people as possible to sign it thanks. (Open until 15 August (The guy who made it didnt do it right)) err - a) nothing is being forced on anyone - the vaccine is entirely voluntary b) this petition is from a complete idiot who thinks said by petition author : the vaccinations contain a man made weaponized swine flu virus which will cause death or serious injury to members of the public
ergo i would urge non-one to either sign it or to suggest anyone else signs it {and anyone who does so, which you will note involves giving both an email adress and a snail mail address, can expect to be marked down as being distinctly "tin foil hat" to say the least....} |

Good grief is that really a legitimate government website?
And they allow all these nutters to create petitions?
Mind you ... it does make for some entertaining reading -- I have never been out on my bike and thought, "Man I wish I was in a car." |

| In the petition, it states that the 1918 flu was caused by a vaccine. THERE WAS NO WIDELY AVAILABLE INACTIVATED FLU VACCINE UNTIL THE 1940s! (They were only developed in the 1930s, actually.) Obviously this well intentioned petitioner has suffered from an acute case of misinformation. Plus, the new H1N1 vaccine does NOT contain the same genes that caused the virulency of 1918 pandemic flu. This is because 2009 H1N1 flu doesn't contain those genes either (yet). However, the current H1N1 flu does spread in different ways than normal seasonal flu.
Personally, I wouldn't be concerned about any pandemic unless it's from these guys. |

1 edit | reply to Dude111 You should have said this topic was meant to be humorous.
David Icke is a conspiracy theorist who believes that the pig plague vaccine has been developed to thin out the population. He also believes the world is run by alien reptilian humanoids.
The one thing I like about him is that he says we have to think for ourselves and not believe everything we are told. Unfortunately he usually means "don't believe what they* tell you but believe what I tell you".
* Whoever "they" are. Perhaps he means the reptilian humanoids. -- It hurt the way your tongue hurts after you accidentally staple it to the wall. |

| I guess I need to work on my search-fu then. Apparently those conspiracy theorists still get through my gullibility filter...
Although in the US, Coast to Coast AM is a pretty good place for stuff like this. |

David Icke also claimed to be the Son of God and a professional footballer for Coventry City and Hereford United. He later denied he played for Hereford. -- It hurt the way your tongue hurts after you accidentally staple it to the wall. |

(I think the explanation is that the particular strain kicks a healthy immune system into overdrive....) |
