Contract Transfer

We had a wireless internet company come to town, and we are ditching HughesNet. We still have 18 months left on our contract, so we were looking for someone to take it over. We thought we had found someone and was getting everything in order. Well, the person who was going to take it said they called Hughes and was told that they couldn't use our satellite. (It's less than a year old.) I was wondering if this was true? Has anyone gone through a transfer of contract before? We thought all that had to be done was sign the little transfer paper, give the new person our equipment, and they would just have to have someone come point the dish. Is that not how it works?

I am at work, but will check in as often as possible.

If indeed you have a 4000 as your signature says then it is junk and unusable. You need a 7000 or probably a 7000s to recommission it.

Sorry, no I don't have the 4000. That needs to be updated. I think we have the 9000. Could be the 7000...my mind doesn't remember.
