For a year

@bell.ca

Thinking of signing up for a year...

Hi all.

I'm thinking of signing up for a year.

While I understand that the price after a year will go up to $33.95 per month, I cannot believe that Acanac would not drop this price to keep a customer. Has anyone been with them for a year to verify this?

I mean, I will have a paid-for modem that I can use elsewhere, and get the same service for a few dollars a month less than $33.95 per month for the same speed...

it's a pretty good price for the second year if you look into teksavvy that offer the same thing than us speed wise you'll have 200 gig up and down for the same price and it's around 40$ for unlimited so i think this is a fairly good price specially when you look at what Bell is offering loll

When you compare the prices, note that Acanac's are with TX included.
Thanks.

TekSavvy is 29.95 + taxes (31.45 in Quebec) without any agreement/contract/pay in advance if 200GB UP/Down is enough for you... most users don't use that much data...
And for a small fee (4$), you can get a fixed IP address and News Groups access.

I always download/upload what I want... and I never went over this limit. Max was 165GB in the last year since I got my Teksavvy connection.

When I had my Acanac connection, I was downloading much more things... but I wasn't able to even use everything I downloaded during those months...

so the best ISP for one person may not be the best for an other...

Both TekSavvy and Acanac are good... it really depends of what you need/want.

One Static IP Address is Free for Acanac DSL users. (By Request)

So if you need a Static IP, Please Email Support and request one.

If you get one, that will be your only IP address.
You can't have a Static IP and Dynamic IP's, one or the other.
