wrt54gs v7.2 and dd wrt and build 12533

I ave noticed that since I upgraded the firmware to 12533 my xbox 360 cant find the router wireless broadcast but my ps3 can. Does anybody know how to reset the wireless adaptor to factory settings? All it does is blink red for awile then just stays off.

I also noticed on the download page for the firmware it has 7/22/09 for date »www.dd-wrt.com/dd-wrtv3/dd-wrt/hardware.html and in my router it has 7/21/09 is this normal?

Regarding the date difference, the DD-WRT people did a big push and had to recompile all of the releases because a flaw in the security system was discovered. Due to the time required to do this, it’s not surprising that the date is off by a day. First they repaired the newest release, and then they reissued the earlier stable version with the corrected code.

Your router originally used an OS by VX Works, I am not sure of the procedure to reinstall the original Linksys firmware. It’s possible something got messed up in the code, you could revert to the earlier DD-WRT version that did work (assuming you have the file) and reload it, then make the corrections to disable remote management and update its firewall to block external commands from the WAN port.

You could try resetting the router via the reset button to clear out the current configuration and reload with DD-WRT defaults and try setting it up again. Not familiar with the X-BOX wireless adaptor, the only reference I could find was this MS no-help document: »support.xbox.com/support/en/us/x···hardware
