I think three is a good number. You want to have a backup to your backup in case both primary and first backup fail. But beyond that it's probably overkill. (good to have - but not necessary)

It usually takes actual work to screw up primary, backup, and secondary backup all at the same time. ;) usually you'd screw up the primary, realize it about the time the backup goes down, and with a little luck it'll never actually propogate to the secondary backup. :)

Clusters of what? I'm thinking of many things right now. Shades of ViaTalk.

I have spent months working with them resolving QoS issues, and got things great just last week and now we're back to square one. AND now I am being told that all the times that I was told that changes/tweaks to my settings were done . . . were never done. Well I have many eMails discussing it and I was eventually able to use my phone reliably with good QoS after several "tweaks" that I personally saw done.

Now this. I have looked at some settings in my account and they are not as they were last week. What all did this lost database cover? Probably all the settings that made my service work great. Just my luck. I can't take another 9 months of this.

Correct, it could go round and round potentially but there is obviously something that needs to be corrected if when this issue occurs there is no way to send in a ticket, check the forums, your vpanel, nothing. And with support not on the phones then it is a hurry up and wait situation.
