Is it possible something is wrong with your wiring inside the house? Since you already eliminated modem as being the culprit, you could also try eliminating your house wiring as the problem.
Go to the Bell box outside your house, unscrew "Customer Access" bolt, open the box and unhook the phone jack that feeds into your house. Get a long, long phone cable. If you have a small laptop, that's great otherwise you'd need long network cable or wireless router. Plug your long phone cable into that phone jack in Bell box and attach your modem to it. See if you get good connection and speed. If there's still a problem, then it's on Velcom/Bell side. Otherwise some wiring in your house is bad or some connected equipment is interfering. |
