So I checked it out, half the websites pages don't work and some are even blocked by malwarebytes, not good and I couldn't even try and order one, I know "out of stock" thats not good either. Too bad, it's an excellent idea for a device and I hope MJ takes a cue but I'd like to feel a bit better about the company and actually be able to get one.

Look, month-to-month plans have minimal risk, yearly plans have definite risk, and "lifetime" plans are an act of religious faith.

I'd never buy a "lifetime" plan, but ESPECIALLY not unless the financials were absolutely solid.

And frankly, companies with solid financials are very, very rare these days.

The stutter/garble problem seems to be a thing of the past but 11 digit dialing is a little annoying if you forget about it. The only other small thing I have noticed is the star button does not seem to put through the proper tone for use with automated systems but overall it has worked well for me.

The registration information is printed on the bottom of the dongle. I tried register online but when get to choosing a phone number, I could not locate one with a 408 area code. I immidiately created a tech support ticket online and to my suprised, the tech responded back in less than 3 minutes and said he can create me a 408 area code in the system and added my MAC address. In less than 10 minutes, my NetTalk TK6000 is up and running. Tried few calls, the voice quality is exceptional and sounded even clearer than my regular landline. The next day, I cancelled my landline. The $99 lifetime is a good deal. I will even pay $19 a year if that's what needs to keep this company to stay in business. Go dump your magicJack, you don't need a dedicated computer to use the phone. I perosnally belive MagicJack is a joke when you can use Skype softphone.

Sounds like the unit's sitting in a pretty strong AC magnetic field. Could you try moving it to a different room (use a long Ethernet cable) and see if the problem goes away?

netTALK was a product offered by Interlink Global (established 1987) back around 2005. It was mainly a video/voip offering. Interlink was a big pay by the minute operation and serviced a number of South American nations as well as the US. The netTALK video/voip service was never that popular and was just a small part of Interlink's business.

Then, Interlink went bankrupt and the majority of their assets were purchased by a NC based advertising company which wanted the netTALK dongle. So the "team" of nettalk has been around in the phone industry for a while, the nettalk product has been around for about 6 years, and the name wasn't borrowed from a European company.

As for the stocks and financial situation, I'm not sure how much of the money/stock came from the NC advertiser that purchased the Interlink assets and how much was sold recently.

I don't think you've done your homework with your assertions.
Additionally, Kyriakides, who ran the old Interlink and the current netTALK has had his hand in many business such as Regency Cruise Lines and can be considered as a "startup tycoon". Now, any businessman is likely to have his dark side and his shady dealings, but Kyriakides doesn't have a history of wrecking his startups or of stealing and enriching himself from the various enterprises he has operated.

So again, I think your post is very superficial and is lacking many of the overall details.

If you want to build a case against Kyriakides and other netTALK managers, you should begin by invetigating Interlink Global's SEC filings. Interlink wrapped up operations and filings in April, 2009, so there is a lot of paper trail you can explore. I haven't seen anything concerning Interlink Global that concerns me. Additionally, if you look at netTALK's various stock papertrails, Kyriakides and a few others control the vast majority of netTALK's stock. It doesn't appear like they are selling stock to get rich, they're buying their own stock.

Yes, you have to dial 11 digits to make a call. netTALK has stated they are "working" on a solution for several months now but nothing so far.

You are not required to dial # after entering a phone number.

On (all) Linksys/Cisco SPA devices, these features can be automatically accomplished through a dial-plan context. If your TK device supports for a dial-plan context configuration, then you probably can reconfigure your TK device to achieve these two features.

Normally, I'd give this to a friend or coworker to use to save money but the stutter problem makes netTALK useless in my opinion. Additionally, they don't offer phone numbers in my area code. The nearest they offer is in the Bay Area about 80 miles away.

suggests that has been tried, and the same stutter happens. If true, that should at least exonerate the TK6K device. However, the network still has this chronic problem.

Besides, we've not been able to locate a single TK6000 user who does not suffer from the stutters.

It happens periodically within a conversation. Usually, in my experience, it is my outgoing voice (as tested with my landline in the same home). You'll be talking fine, then suddenenenenenenenly, you'll hear stutter for a few seconds (or loss of transmit). Annoying, especially when you're trying to talk to someone for real, and not just for test calls. You keep hearing the other party say "I lost you for a few seconds, can you repeat that?"

Doesn't stutter tone indicate the presence of a voicemail? I don't use this device and don't know if this feature can be turned off; however, on a Linksys PAP2v1 unit, this feature can be turned off.
