att

I'm guessing the payphone Wifi APs will never come back :-(

Verizon should convert all the payphones in the subway to loop powered cellular base stations.

Whats funny is, Boingo roams on ATT hotspots. So Verizon customers now have ATT Wifi, ATT DSL style.

Doesnt look like it. The most unfortunate part was that those AP's 'felt' like they were very high powered. I recall connecting to some of them from a few blocks away (straight shot of course). Right around the time they stopped using them they also changed the public phone booths a little, so I hoped to find one (AP) for sale. Unfortunately none ever popped up on Craigslist, so I never got my souvenir.
